Paul Kimani, Mully Children’s Family beneficiary and the coach of MCF Karate team, won a silver medal after he came second in Karate world championships which were held at the end of March 2011 in Malindi. Paul emerged tops in the under 67 category with over a thousand participants. Paul had been selected during the final selection of the National Karate team by the Kenya Karate Federation (KKF) at the Utalii College at the start of February 2011.
He recalls that the world competition was stiff but he still managed to emerge among the best three karateka’s in the world. It was a sterling performance by Paul and MCF is proud of him. He has been selected to participate in the All Africa games to be held in Maputo, Mozambique later in the year.
Paul Kimani has been the coach of the MCF karate team over the years and has equipped the team with cutting edge skills which have enabled the team to triumph over their peers in major competitions. He has trained the team making it become competent in the game over the years. The team, consisting of young talented boys and girls, have represented MCF and the country in various tournaments.
Paul holds a Black Belt Accreditation received through training in South Africa where he is among six others to have been trained from Kenya. He has proved to be a coach of high caliber above others in Kenya and in the East African region having won scores of medals and awards in various categories.

MCF karate club, under his able leadership and training, has won dozens of medals in competitions held within Kenya and in the East African region in all categories. Currently, the club holds the coveted East and Central Africa Championship Trophy for Cadets. They have visited and performed in other countries including the USA and Canada.
The MCF karate team has played in various tournaments within and outside the country and has scores of medals to their name. Paul Kimani has been variously awarded for emerging the best coach on various occasions where he has triumphed over his peers.
Meanwhile, MCF karate team participated in a grading exercise in May which was held at Vision Plaza in Nairobi. The 15 team members who participated were grouped into various categories including green, black, brown and orange. Six of them were grouped in the green category, four in the black category, two in the brown category and three in the orange category.
Dr. Mulli was presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Kenya Karate Federation for his support of the karate club and his contribution in nurturing karate talent within the country. Paul and others in the karate team have discovered and nurtured their talent through MCF. Mully Children’s Family is proud of Paul and the team and looks forward to more victory in major competitions and going to greater levels in Karate.
