Musyoka is a mentally handicapped young boy and an orphan. His mother passed on while he was very young and he was left under the care of his elderly grandmother who has no source of income.
He was rescued by Mully Children’s Family on Monday, the 12th of April, 2010 at the bank of Thika River near MCF Ndalani Home. Early in the morning, he was found sleeping with part of his body immersed in the water. He was very hungry and dirty at the time he was rescued.
His grandmother, who lives at Kwandolo claimed to have searched for the boy for four days without success. She stated that she was bed-ridden at the time when the boy disappeared.
The boy has never been to school and his communication is uncoordinated due to his mental state. He has been rescued by MCF and has been receiving attention from the staff at MCF Ndalani. His welfare is being taken care of as the sickly granny recovers in order to provide more information about the boy. He has been provided with food, clothing, shelter and other basic needs for his survival.
