Congratulations, Elizabeth and Pauline.
Liz, the go-getter
She is of a strong will, she does not believe in getting less than what she desires. She is of strong principles, and rarely goes against what she has set her foot onto.
In her O- levels, Elizabeth was a leader, the school head girl who commanded respect from all. Her passion, dream and leadership skills have been nurtured and are blossoming. For Elizabeth, her strong personality came to be after going through a troubling life. Born on 3rd June 1987 in a family of 5, her mother and father were casual laborers with her father doing small scale farming to feed the family.
Trouble stroke when her father died. Being the only bread winner, the family started experiencing trouble; the in-laws rejected Elizabeth’s mother and did not want anything to do with her. There was no food to eat or even clothes to wear, and a place to put up. Elizabeth had to put an end to her school work. Seeing the difficulties that were there, her mother decided to go back to her maternal home, where life was not any better. The severe drought that hit the area affected them so badly such that the children were malnourished. Elizabeth had to take to the village streets to beg for food and clothes to wear.
MCF was informed about the plight of the children and went to their rescue. Elizabeth was rescued in 1993 and enrolled at MCF primary school, where her leadership talents and abilities were discovered and shaped.
