Mully Children’s Family, Yatta vocational training centre held the sixth graduation Ceremony on the 17th of June this year. The event saw 46 girls and 13 boys graduate in different trades including hair dressing, tailoring, dress making, carpentry, masonry, welding, cookery, missiology, entrepreneurship and home economics among others.
The occasion was attended by scores of people including Daddy and Mummy Mulli, and guests from Australia, Canada, Kenyan government officers as well as MCF staff, beneficiaries and children under the MCF umbrella.
Daddy Mulli, the Founder and CEO of MCF remarked that this event was a fruit of the hard work that has been put in MCF over the last 21 years since he received the calling to help the poor and needy children and people of Africa. “Life is full of challenges but God always provides a way out. Jesus loved the world and shed His blood to redeem us. It is the same love that we should share with each other. Love is more important than all other things.” Daddy Mulli said. While addressing the congregation, he cherished hardwork, honesty, patience, humility, determination, persistence and servant attitude.
“You are ambassadors of MCF to exhibit what you have learnt and may God be with you,” Dr. Mulli said of the graduants, adding that one thing we need is vision and a deep desire to excel. He urged the graduants to believe in themselves. “For others to believe in you, you must believe in yourself.” He advised them to continue building their skills persistently and to keep on no matter how many times they fail as well as surround themselves with the right people and good things. Quoting from Proverbs 13:19-21, Dr. Mulli said that those whom you surround yourself with should help you to accomplish your vision and goals.
Daddy Mulli appreciated the support by friends and well wishers who have enabled MCF to be what it is today.
Irene Mwihaki, one of the graduants and on behalf of the other graduants was so thankful and appreciative to Mully Children’s Family for what the family has done to transform their lives. She said that without the support by MCF their lives would be in ruins. Fred Gathongo, a graduant, testified of how life was unbearable having neither parent nor guardian. He fed from the garbage bins. Daddy Mulli was so persistent in rescuing them from the streets when they still despised him. He invited them to his home in Eldoret. That was when Fred joined MCF. Through the love by the Mullis his life has been transformed.
All the graduants were awarded with certificates of merit to mark the completion of their respective courses. The best performers were also awarded for exemplary performance in different fields. The graduants presented Daddy and Mummy Mulli with gifts where they clothed the two in attractive and well knit apparels.
Cake was served to mark the celebrations as Mummy Mulli presented special gifts to the girls. A prayer was offered for all the graduants as every one wished them well in their life.
Mully Children’s Family is a charitable, non-governmental, non-profit making Christian children’s organization overseeing projects in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Swaziland and Zambia among others.
MCF has sent one beneficiary to Australia, four to be sent to the USA in July this year and six are set to go to Germany next year to pursue their higher education. Daddy Mulli said that MCF looks forward to having as many beneficiaries as possible obtaining PhDs as he reported that Mully University would be established soon.
