Dear Friends,
Happy New Year!! How great is our God! I am overwhelmed to experience the Lord’s grace and His love since the beginning of last year 2011. As we also witnessed crossing over to the year 2012, I feel indebted to our creator. It is with a lot of pleasure to know that whatever we do daily, no matter how heavy it may be, the main purpose remains the service that we have done for the children, adults and mankind as a whole.
On 7th of this month, I was reminded of my birthday of which we usually do not celebrate. My son gave me a wonderful card with warm words and best wishes from a son to a Father. This reminded me of the years that have gone by, since I was born. Here I am today, a grand father to several children. As my dear wife Esther, our daughters and sons were seated with me in celebration of this day, I felt very honored and blessed to have my family as friends and workmates in the ministry that God gave me 23 years ago.
One of my biggest challenges is that as the MCF fraternity continues to grow day by day and as many are rescued, there are many more children who are born by the destitute child mothers who are rescued while expectant. Nevertheless, the vision that God put in my heart will continue to flourish and bear fruits.
Since the beginning of this year, I have been very busy with so much work with the staff and the children. Many people from the community, Turkana and other areas of our country are seeking for an audience with me as they would like to bring total orphans to MCF for care and protection especially those who got very high grades in their grade 8 examinations from very poor public schools and are not able to afford to proceed with their education. There are many discussions with staff who are constantly requesting for salary increments while a few are terminating their service with MCF due to the limited resources that we have to remunerate them. I am therefore also searching for new members of staff that are qualified, reliable, trustworthy and God fearing, whom we can work with. A number of children requested for permission to visit their relatives and or guardians over the December period. Sadly, many are coming back while ill with various sicknesses and others with depression due to the situations that they left back at home. This requires a lot of time, energy and patience as they undergo various forms of guidance and counseling. There are also various building and construction works that are taking place and that need my input. In all this, I pray that God will continue giving me wisdom, strength, resilience, peace, discernment and patience as I serve Him.
Thank you so much for being a true friend, a prayer supporter and for your encouragement over the years that I value ever so much. I also appreciate your continued financial support. May God bless you and bless your family thorough out this year ever so much.
Yours sincerely brother in Christ,
