Mrs. Pauline Kalonzo, the wife of the Vice President of Kenya, spent a full day visiting Mully Children’s Family. This was a big day for the MCF community and the visit by the gracious lady was a big blessing for MCF.
It was on Sunday, the 25th of April when the Vice President’s wife paid a visit to MCF Ndalani Home gracing the Sunday service at the MCF chapel where she fellowshipped together with the MCF community including MCF beneficiaries, MCF staff and community members.
Mrs. Kalonzo was welcomed by the Co-Founder of MCF Homes, Mrs. Mulli. She congratulated and appreciated Daddy and Mummy Mulli for the good work they have done in rescuing and taking care of needy children, which is a great challenge considering the number of children under rehabilitation. She remarked what a great ministry MCF is and expressed her zeal of belongingness to MCF. Being a lover of children, Mrs. Kalonzo takes care of the needy but the number at MCF is overwhelming. She said that MCF has touched her heart and she would always visit the homes even come along with friends and family in the future. Much appreciation to the Founders and Directors of MCF, Dr. and Mrs. Mulli.
Mrs. Kalonzo observed that if life was like at MCF, then all problems would be gone. Mully Children’s Family provides a family environment for all rescued children and provides them with all basic needs including food, shelter, clothing, medical care, education and family love, care and protection, all free of charge. She noted how MCF rescues people from far, nurtures and develops them to maturity and helps them to become reliable people in the community since more than 7000 former street and destitute children who hitherto did not have a hope have graduated from MCF and have been well integrated back to the society over the past 21 years. She encouraged the children to remain loving, peaceful and obedient. She encouraged them that God has good plans for them. The children are the leaders of today and tomorrow. MCF nurtures children to become dependable individuals and be change agents in the society. Mrs. Kalonzo encouraged the children to work hard and become the best they can be.
She visited the different projects that MCF has established at Ndalani and planted a tree in support of the climate change program. The children presented different entertainment items including acrobatics, karate and songs. She interacted with them where some shared their life testimonies with her. It was a humbling experience for her and the MCF community.
Mully Children’s Family looks forward to more visits by many other guests from within Kenya as well as far and beyond whose visitation and presence is always appreciated.
