MCF has intensified feeding programmes for street children mainly in Kipsongo slum in Kitale town. This has reduced the number of children loitering on the Kitale Streets. It is also important to note that those children who had dropped out of the nearby schools due to lack of food, are now retained in school because they come for lunch at the feeding centre. MCF has also established a school within the centre and has employed teachers, support staff and provides stationery to facilitate learning from Baby Class to Standard Three providing free education to the targeted children who are drawn from abjectly poor families in the slum villages at Kipsongo. The programme currently caters for over 203 children.
