Mully Children’s Family held a marathon race on the 23rd of June involving MCF beneficiaries, staff as well as visiting friends from Canada. The MCF Fraternity, regardless of age, gender and color joined together to raise awareness about the upcoming Mully University to be set up at MCF Yatta. This marathon was in preparation to the Mully Marathon that will take place in June 2011.
The race was flagged off by the Founder and CEO of Mully Children’s Family, Dr. Ev. Charles Mulli. It covered 33 kilometers starting from MCF Ndalani and ending at MCF Yatta. More than 100 participants were involved.
Daddy and Mummy Mulli as well as visiting guests from Canada participated in the race setting a good example for all others. MCF banners were hoisted along the race route and health services were provided by MCF medical officers.
MCF would like to recognize and appreciate the Kenya Police for providing traffic security and control along the route ensuring that no interferences were witnessed.
The race went on uninterrupted coming to a close at the designated finish point at MCF Yatta. The winners were rewarded and all the participants were presented with certificates of participation. Daddy Mulli congratulated and appreciated all the participants and invited them for the anticipated mega marathon to be held in June 2011.
